New Delhi: The Unique Identification Authority of India has temporarily halted a vital facility that lets you change the address of your Aadhaar card's address without a document of your address.
UIDAI permits cardholders with Aadhaar cards to change their address without the need for any paperwork. Aadhaar card holders can update their address only if they consent to the authentication and verification process of an address verifier. An address verifier could be a close friend, relative or landlord that allows the Aadhaar card user to verify their address.
UIDAI has stopped using this facility. UIDAI was notified by an Aadhaar Card card holder via Twitter by announcing that it is no longer possible to update the address on the Aadhaar Card through an Address Validation Letter was canceled. UIDAI has requested an Aadhaar issuer to advise users that they can change their address using a legitimate PoA document.
Dear Residents Dear Resident: The addresses Validation Letter service has been removed until the next notice. Kindly request your address update using another valid PoA document from the list https://t.co/BeqUA0pkqL
